Welcome to my "blog!"
I have placed the word in quotes-here's why:
I am a language-obsessed individual, one with various sensory issues. One way my sensory issues play out is in the sound of words, even as I repeat them silently to myself.
So when I hear myself think the word "blog" I get a little squirmy.
Therefore, those of you who are reading these words are cordially invited to come up with a new term for blog, which is a word that really rubs me sideways.
The first person who comes up with a replacement will win nothing but my unending admiration, and perhaps the admiration of others who care about these issues.
Any and all suggestions will be considered, by me, and whoever else cares to comment on their viability.
Remember, this is an open process-that is, all who take the time to vote will be created equally.
There must be a more esthetically pleasing word out there (or a neologism-that's great with me! Contrary to my husband's opinion of my linguistic rigidity, I am strongly in favor of neologisms)
Be brave- the more creative the better!

I know what you mean about blog, it's like some slimy substance that oozes under your bedroom door at night, something you wouldn't want to step in with bare feet, and definitely something the health department should ban from anywhere food is prepared and consumed. "Uh oh, she forgot to wash her hands after blogging, and I think some blog got on that sandwich she just ate...."
Those mischief makers at McDonalds were caught adding BLOG to people's hamburgers..... Thus explaining the sudden outbreak of literacy in the area!

Welcome to the BLOG-O-SPHERE! No seriously, I once had a large mass of yellow-ish BLOG suctioned out of my jaw by some hack proctologist. I totally passed out 30 seconds into the procedure and woke up behind a dumpster in Atlantic City. Before I forget, Jesus wants to know if you are done with his copy of 'Beat Girl'. If you could see your way clear to pop it in the mail that would be great.

hey blogga blogga. is this a way to say hi and what you're up to, but to everyone at once, so you don't have to repeat yourself 90 times? do you 'blog' about anything?
well today i'm thinking about Martin Luther King Jr. who was assassinated 40 years ag0today. a tragic loss. john mccain voted again a martin luther king holiday in 1983. today, he said, 'he was wrong in voting against the holiday honoring mlk'. well i'm skeptical.
also, i just made chili. my seccret ingredient (shhhhh) are lots and lots of raw onions. sour cream is yummy too, but i don't have any.
you are the second friend who has started a blog in as many weeks. am i blogga-blogging correctly? is this the kind of information you are seeking to exchange?
wow...ok. that was my first time blogging. and, a learning experience. i now realize when you open yourself up to the world, you have to re-read and check your spelling and grammar or you look foolish.
wow, again. i'm on the blogga learning curve. blogging and spare time is deadly. regarding your request for a new term that does not rub you sideways... i like the way you look from the side, but here are my two suggestions.
1. 'hey blogga blogga', in honor of the new baseball season. i don't care about baseball..but we will have two new baseball stadiums in new york next season, and that's significant.
2.'blog out and rotate', is based on a volleyball ditty in honor of the mutual friend who is the 'raison de notre amitié' he has even won medals.

Was actually thinking about you...Well if my memory serves me I prophesied orrectly..Nad with shorter hair and highlights (the year is (2008)..wow. You look great ..talk to ya soon cant think of a better name for the b word...maybe.. why is it a blog anyway... I guess its a bla- bla-bla log.(actually an abridgement of the term web log:)
there is something about a blog that is akin to a cyber coffee klatch, so maybe 'klatch'? or 'cyber klatch'? although, klatch rhymes with.....
i litstened to myself and yourself and other selves too and am off to long island tonight for an fun and insanity filled dinner in bellport! lirr here i come.
it will be, it HAS TO BE a good summer for us!
